Ben Falk registered one point to lead the Nashville Jr. Predators to a 3-1 victory over the West Michigan Wolves.
The win gave Nashville a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.
The Jr. Predators\’ offense rang up 38 shots on West Michigan\’s net.
Others who scored for Nashville included Trent Kulczyk and Alex Durand, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Nashville were Matiss Gelazis, who had three and Topi Samuli Aheristo and Spencer Marchand, who each chipped in one.
The Wolves were led by Devin Farkas, who scored the team\’s only goal. Farkas scored on the power play 9:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 West Michigan. A cross checking penalty on Marchand had put West Michigan on the power play. Corey Siwula picked up the assist.
Nathan Klebe took the win and made 12 saves before being replaced by Justin Ball who made six saves. Nashville incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Chase Stanford made 35 saves for the Wolves on 38 shots. West Michigan incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
