Late goal as the Jr. Predators fall to the Thunder 5-4

Cameron Sangster scored the game winning goal late in the game as the Nashville Jr. Predators narrowly lost to the Cincinnati Thunder 5-4 in a home game at Ford Ice Center in Nashville. Besides, Ricardo (ricky) Gonzalez came up big, stopping 9 of 11 shots throughout the game.

Logan Orem had a busy night with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Weiland Parrish chipped in with 2 assists. Cobin Sanborn contributed with 2 goals and Cameron Sangster delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Orem opened the scoring for the Jr. Predators with a goal at 1:04 with helpers from his linemates, Parrish and Redmon. Kulczyk netted a goal at 15:44 with helpers from his linemates, Redmon and Parrish. Redmon quickly followed with a goal at 15:55 with assists from Orem and O’neal. See quickly followed with a goal at 17:28 with assists from teammates Kiepper and Friedman.

During the second, Redmon answered for the Jr. Predators with a goal at 4:42 with a helper from defenseman Cabala. Vanlew quickly followed with a goal at 6:18 with assists from Marlow and Veneklase. Sanborn put in a goal at 13:02 with a helper from fellow Thunder forward Friedman. Sanborn deposited a goal at 16:59 with an assist from Sangster.

In the third period, Sangster netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:19 with helpers from Bioni and Dorff.

This loss brings the Nashville Jr. Predators’ record to (50-30-10-4)
