Cincinnati vanquishes Nashville in shootout, 3-2 (1-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Cincinnati defeated Nashville in a shootout 3-2 (1-0 SO).

The shootout featured 16 attempts between both teams.

Cincinnati was helped by James Frantz, who registered one goal. Frantz scored 3:15 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Cobin Sanborn picked up the assist. Cincinnati also got a goal from Rory Callihan as well. Other players who recorded assists for Cincinnati were Marc Anderson and Shawn Moody, who contributed one each.

Nashville was helped by Trent Kulczyk, who finished with one goal. Kulczyk scored on the power play 1:50 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Nashville. Nashville earned a power play opportunity when Tyler Simon was put in the box for slashing. Brock James assisted on the tally. Dakota Wilson also scored for Nashville. In addition, Nashville received assists from Peter Cabala, who had one and Logan Orem, who had two.
